Typech, Sony Xperia Z4 Gets Certified in Indonesia -
Sony's upcoming Xperia Z4 smartphone may have just received the necessary certification from Postel, the Indonesian authority that deals with such things. Three Sony phone models have been given the all clear by Postel, one of which could in fact be the Xperia Z4. The Indonesian authority has only given us the devices' model numbers, but we can make some assumptions based on them.
The Xperia Z4 has been rumored for 4GB of RAM, Qi wireless charging, a 5.4-inch display, 3420 mAh battery, 20.7-megapixel rear camera and 4.8-megapixel front-facing camera. A 64-bit, 2.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, Adreno 430 GPU, Sony's Exmor RS CMOS camera sensor and Android 5.0 Lollipop have also been rumored for the device.
According to sources contacted by Taiwan's ePrice, the Z4 will also come in two model options: one with a FHD display and the other with a QHD (2K) display. The FHD display could be aimed at cheaper markets, offering Sony the possibility of a smartphone that costs less to produce but also offers better battery life, TechRadar notes. The displays would be the same size on each model, however. (29 January)
